Rebecca (Becky) Mills is an artist, and arts professional based in Westchester, NY.

“Instantaneous photography, in color and done by hand, of superfine, extravagant, extra-plastic, extra-pictorial, unexplored, deceiving, hypernormal, feeble images of concrete irrationality - images momentarily unexplainable and irreducible either by systems of logical intuition or by rational mechanisms.” - Salvador Dali’s “The Conquest of the Irrational” (1935)

Using surrealism, I explore the mental concoctions which arise from my different states of being - namely wake, sleep, and deep sleep. Through philosophical examinations of these concoctions, I portray what I would declare a beautiful image which seeks to transcend material nature’s limitations of the objects. I also gain inspiration through meditation and astronomy of this material cosmos to incorporate color theory with spirituality.

Though the art itself exists as a material physical object - the topics of discussion are transcendental, cosmic, spiritual, and scientific which is meant to take the viewer beyond the surface. Taking inspiration from an eclectic background of information and knowledge, I present to you the Ultra Plastic Galaxy which is a phantasmagoria in of itself.
